Will you join with us in praying this may be the experience of our patrol teams as they transverse the length and breadth of that vast region we know as the "Outback". Pray for safety in travel and strength for each day. May our padres be given a measure of God's grace and wisdom, finding many open doors and receptive hearts so that the good news of salvation may be proclimed and many souls won for the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We welcome to our PIM family two new patrol teams, Padre Henk and Henny Tiemens and Padre Bert and Penny Pierce. Henk a retired builder will be our inaugural padre in the Pilbara/Kimberley patrol whilst Bert a former Police Officer in WA will take over from David Hart on 12th July 2004. We welcome back to our family Laurie and Gwen Peake who after conducting an exploratory patrol from their property at Wandoan promptly offered their services in an honorary capacity. We pray that God will bless all three couples and greatly use them to His honour and glory. We are saddened to part company with Padre Owen and Sally Oakes from our South Western Patrol based in Charleville, QLD. As you may be aware Owen has been battling a recurring heart problem for the past year or so. We are delighted that he has accepted a position as a Home Missionary with the Presbyterian Church of NSW. We covet your prayers for Owen and Sally as they take up their new responsiblities and sincerely thank them for their gracious and loving ministry to those beyond the furtherest fences. David and Doreen Hart have graciously accepted the challenge of taking over from Owen and Sally until the end of the year. As yet they haven't told us which year! Finally, Padre Barry Rositter was involved in an accident in May and although Barry and the Landcruiser survived unscathed unfortunately the campermatic is a write off. Barry was forced off the right hand side of the bush track as the other driver as not only speeding but on the wrong side of the road. Would you believe he didn't bother to stop although the campermatic was obviously badly damagaed. We are unsure of the insurance evaluation at this point but it will certainly be less than a replacement. We share this need with the wider PIM family, so that perhaps someone will help us get back On Track again! Thank you once again for your prayers and encouragement. Very
sincerely,
